British Parking Association (BPA)
The British Parking Association (BPA) is the largest membership association in Europe representing the parking profession. As the recognised authority in parking, the BPA is actively representing and promoting the sector as well as improving compliance with regulations amongst those maintaining and using parking facilities.

Approved Operator Scheme
The Approved Operator Scheme (AOS) was launched for BPA members in October 2007 and designed specifically for members that are involved in parking management on private land or in unregulated public car parks. The Scheme ensures a fairer, more transparent and regulated regime for parking on private land.
To manage parking on private land, the operator must belong to an Accredited Trade Association (ATA) in order to request keeper details from the DVLA as well as adhering to the Scheme’s Code of Practice.

Scheme Standards
When applying to join the Scheme, applicants are subject to an annual audit and a stringent compliance process. This compliance is ongoing and standards are continually being raised, thus AOS members are always being tested to ensure that they are operating to the highest standard.
UKPC is a member of the AOS and in demonstrating compliance with the Code of Practice has retained its membership. UKPC has zero sanction points on the BPA AOS membership license.
ISO 9001 - Quality Management System
At UKPC, we pride ourselves on delivering a high quality service. We are proud to be accredited with ISO 9001 certification for a quality management system.
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system. Organisations will meet this criteria to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet both client and regulatory requirements. This accreditation reassures our clients that we have an effective quality management system in place, ensuring that we provide high-quality, trustworthy parking management solutions.
ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System
UKPC has held the ISO 14001 certification for over 3 years. This internationally agreed standard sets out the criteria for an environmental management system.

Through holding this certification, UKPC demonstrates having an environmental management system in place that meets the requirements of the framework. It also provides assurance to internal employees and management as well as external stakeholders that our environmental impact is constantly measured and improved.

Safe Contractor
Safe Contractor is an accreditation scheme that is designed to review and audit the health and safety policies, procedures and documentation of contractors.
At UKPC, we take health and safety very seriously and this accreditation demonstrates this. Our installation teams complete a variety of tasks when implementing our parking management systems, which if carried out unsafely, could cause harm to our team or the general public. Therefore, it is vital we have robust health and safety procedures in place.
Surveillance Camera Commissioner
In April 2022, UKPC was independently inspected and assessed as achieving compliance with the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice legislation in respect of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Body Worn (BWV) Camera systems operating in public places and was successfully awarded with Step 2 Full Certification by the Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner.

The Surveillance Camera Commission is an organisation within the government, whose role is to encourage compliance with the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice.

This certification demonstrates UKPC’s compliance with the Surveillance Camera Code of Practise, resulting in the effective, appropriate, proportionate and transparent use of ANPR Technology as well as our BWV Cameras worn for the security of our parking attendants.
